» Virtual Virtual Devices: Encrypted RAID
Thu, Jul 27th 2006: Oregon, USA: OSCON
Device-mapper provides the Linux kernel with a very flexible infrastructure for layering functionality onto block devices. This talk covers use of dmcrypt to create a virtual block device that's encrypted and decrypted transparently, and explains how to layer it on top of a RAID-10 array (ie: a RAID-1 array consisting of multiple RAID-0 arrays).
