Anatomy of a Debian Package

Sun, Jul 23rd 2006: California, USA: Google

Delivered as an internal Tech Talk for Google staff at the Mountain View campus.

Explains the internal structure of Debian/Ubuntu packages and how to create them, starting with disection of a binary package and then going through the process of creating your own package using various build helper scripts to automate much of the process. This talk was largely inspired by (read: "ripped off from"!) Matt Palmer's talk at Debian Miniconf 5.
